They keep fallin'..

When it rains, the streets turn into mini mud swamps.

As I walk down the road treading carefully between puddles and mud sludge I notice hundreds of filthy toes in flip flops squelching by.

Egypt’s Suez Canal, tourism, oil and gas reserves and foreign aid are not enough to provide shoes for it’s population.

  1. Why your in Egypt? Really why? i really wanna see an answer for that question, answer that please or at least shove a big fucking Egyptian “filthy toe” up your ass and stop being a fucking whiny bitch, the mud is more useful than you and even smell better.

  2. Hello anonymous. Nice to hear from you.

I can see you feel that I do not write enough that is gleamingly positive about Egypt and I see your point. I do, in fact, love this country, however, I have two points:

    1. It is not my job to sell Egypt – if you want to read a milk and honey version of life here, please visit http://www.egypt.travel, a wonderful site for everything good.

    2. This blog represents my personal experiences and I have lived here long enough to see behind the shiny tourist buses. Not every thing I see is positive – just like every other country in the world, and indeed, everything in life. That does NOT mean I do not like the country.

Finally, this is my blog. That means that I can delete your comment if I want. I have chosen not to delete, but to reply to you with a level of respect you have clearly not shown me. This will be the last time. I welcome comments both positive and negative, however, if you (or anybody else) choose(s) to respond in the same tone as your original comment, I will delete it immediately.

    Just so we are clear.
