Feeling sad

a bit of hope

I don’t normally post about how I feel, although I guess it comes into it sometimes, but I’m making an exception. This whole business with the site I will no longer name, is upsetting. I have tried various avenues, including becoming a member of the site so I can check more what’s going on and the result is that I’m banned from it until 2010 (and I swear I haven’t been rude)! I can’t even check if they’ve taken my blog down. Lil’ bro checked for me yesterday and it’s all still there. Interestingly they didn’t put up the post about plagiarism!

Short of posting a link to my blog in every single blog post I’m not sure what else to do.

Burying a link to your blog so that they’re less likely to edit it would help I’m sure. Or, don’t get mad, get even. Build a web site like theirs and compete with them. I’m sure your regular Egyptian readers will link to that to support you. Stay Strong!

It is a pain isn’t it? I found out last year that some bloke in England had nicked the title of my book! My agent rang his people about 6 months before his book came out to mention the whole thing and they claimed that they didn’t know anything about my book. Funny, because if you Google the title, I actually own the domain and my bloody web site comes up. Grrr! Perfectly legal tho’.

Thank you all so much - you made me feel much better. As luck would have it, around the time I published this post, my blog disappeared from the site. Yippeeeee!

Expat Mum: I can’t believe that’s legal! I’d be saying a lot more than grrrrrr!!!

Trailing Grouse,

You can make about $21,000 US if you can help us find a scoundrel who may have fled the US and may now be driving a taxi in Cairo or other part of Egypt.

Here is his information:

Comments are welcome there so lets get this bad dog! :-)
